THE mother of four children who died in a sickening firebomb attack has had to be reminded each day of the tragedy because she was too ill to remember.

The Pearson family home, in Walkden, Salford, was targeted by thugs following a petty feud which had devastating results. Kids Demi, 15, Lia, 3, Brandon, 8, and Lacie, 7, all lost their lives in the attack.

The youngsters are now known as the “Walkden Little Angels” among locals who have been left shocked by the horror of the attack.

Their mother Michelle was also left critically ill and remains in hospital.

Her mother Sandra Lever told the Manchester Evening News she was unable to remember her children had died because of her medication – but is finally starting to grieve.

She said: “She still gets upset. 12 months she’s been in here, but she wasn’t awake for half of it, so she has only just begun the grieving process.

“It took a long time for her to get her head around what happened.

“We’d have to remind her everyday because of all the medication.

“She has now accepted it and has started to grieve.”

Evil Zak Bolland, 23, launched the cowardly attack after being involved in a petty feud with the victim’s 17-year-old brother Kyle Pearson, Manchester Crown Court heard.

Bolland, along with David Worrall, 25, removed a fence panel from the garden of Michelle Pearson’s home before smashing a kitchen window and two lit petrol bombs were tossed inside at around 5am.

Bolland, his girlfriend Courtney Brierley, 20, and father-of-one Worrall denied four counts of murder and three counts of attempted murder relating to Michelle Pearson, Kyle Pearson and Bobby Harris.

However Bolland and Worrall were convicted of murder by a jury, while Brierley was found guilty of manslaughter.
