The 34-year-old was taken to hospital but died two days later with tests showing she had a brain aneurysm.

The unnamed child was unharmed.

Miss Warburton, a care assistant who had a son aged four, was watching the game on TV at her home in Rochdale, Greater Manchester with friends and family when the tragedy took place.

The match, played on July 3, finished 1-1 but England won 4-3 on penalties.

Neighbour Robert Morley told the Heywood hearing: “I was watching the football and went outside for a cigarette. Rosina was talking about putting pizzas in for the kids and her and my partner were having a laugh.

”But I then heard my son crying and I found Rosina had collapsed on top of him.

”I moved my son out of instinct. Then her mum and my partner were trying to wake her up. She was facedown at first and she wasn’t responding. Her lip started to go blue and I try to listen to her breathing.

“I rang for an ambulance and I felt like it took forever to get through to someone to give direction. The call duration was about 15 minutes. It seemed about seven minutes to get through.

“I did CPR until the ambulance arrived. I knew Rosina as she lived on the same road and our kids are friends. She was happy and was very smiley. She never seem to let anything get her down.”

Miss Warburton’s mother Cecilia said: “We were planning on watching the football together and making some cocktails. Rob and his partner came round and we were watching the England match and celebrated them winning.

“Rob’s child then let out a cry. We went to see what was wrong and Rosina was on top of him as she had collapsed. We got the baby out and tried to turn her around. I thought she had tripped over but she wasn’t responding. We put water on her face.

“Rob rang for an ambulance and it seemed to take ages to get through. He started doing CPR from the instructions on the phone and then the ambulance came and took over. She was taken to hospital but we were told that she had a bleed on the brain.

“We had been drinking cocktails but she wasn’t very drunk. She could control her movements and had not taken anything illicit. We have concerns over the aneurysm as there is family history of it. We found out from her grandmother who said that her father had one when he was older. It had run on her father’s side.

”Rosina had been to her child’s taster day at school. She was happy and looking forward to life. ”

The hearing was told Miss Warburton had high blood pressure and suffered with migraines in the run up to her death.

Recording a verdict of death by natural causes coroner Lisa Hashmi said: “She suffered with a collapse which was totally unexpected. She was enjoying being around her family and watching the football but collapsed unexpectedly.

“She had suffered with a brain haemorrhage and that was contributed by an aneurysm in her head and the evidence says it was unsurvivable. The ambulance service was being used a lot that day and the nearest emergency vehicle was deployed.

“They were not answering in five seconds or did not arrive in seven minutes due to high volume that night. We all know how stretched the public services are. It is highly likely if it had been there in one minute it would not have made a difference.

“She in effect died with her family at home, this would have been comforting for your daughter that you were there.”
