Cops hunt man who crept up behind woman and sliced her bottom with sharp object

THIS is the moment a man appears to slash a woman with a sharp object across her bottom in Westminster – before calmly walking away.

Police investigating the bizarre assault have released CCTV footage of a man they want to speak to in connection with the incident, which took place on Sunday, October 29 at 8.45pm.

A woman in her 20s was entering a flat when the man came up behind her.

Police say he slashed her across the bottom with a sharp object before running away.

The victim suffered a superficial wound and had to go to hospital.

Cops believe it was a random attack and want anyone with information to come forward.

The suspect is believed to be of medium to tall build and was wearing a big jacket and a hat at the time of the assault.

Detective Constable Yousuf Bhamjee, from Westminster CID, said: “This assault has had a significant impact on the victim.

“I am appealing for anyone with information to get in touch with us on 020 7321 7620.”
